ZOO DAY

We spent the DAY at the Louisville Zoo. We are zoo members so we will be going a lot this year. Jonas and Josie had so much fun with Cousin Sam, Victor, Maddie, and Abigail. Us ladies (me, Mere and Marla) really enjoyed ourselves too! It was nice to have some girl time while watching our kids have a blast.

Happy Mother's Day - Late Pics

I had such a wonderful Mother's Day! Sam took the kids and went to E-town to visit Mawmaw Jane. My mother's gift to me was to spend my day alone enjoying peace and quiet and a nap since I spent time with her the evening before. It was awesome. I love my kids, but now that I stay home with them, a little break was nice. When the family returned, they took me out to El Nopal for dinner. We had such a great evening. Jonas kept saying, "Happy Mother's Day Mommy. You're the best Mommy ever." It was so sweet!

And......I can't forget to mention the mothers who made it all happen. We love you both! Thanks for doing such a great job raising Sam and me. We are both very lucky to have you all as mothers.

Happy 2nd Birthday Josie

Josie's 2nd birthday.......wow! She is such a big girl now. We celebrated her birthday with a party at the Mountain. Many family members and friends attended. She started the day not really understanding what it really meant, but eventually she realized it was all about HER! She is a big girl now. Unfortunately, our camera battery was not charged enough to get too many pics. However, she enjoyed having everyone there.... presents. cake and lots of playing with the kids. Thanks to everyone who attended. And for those who couldn't make it....we appreciate your blessings! Josie is a wonderful little girl and she wants everybody to know she loves them.

Aunt Mere and Uncle Joe took Jonas and Josie to Little Victor's (Mere's brother's little boy) birthday party. He just turned five. Sam and I were trying to get things ready for Josie's birthday party the next day. Aunt Mere said the kids were so good and really enjoyed themselves at the party. They brought the kids home to Powers Mountain and then hung out for some grilling and good conversation. Jonas and Josie played with Cousin Sam and had lots of fun. Little Sam is getting so big. Jonas was missing at picture time, so I added one that seemed really cool and I wanted to post anyway. (It is at Grandma Rose and Grandpa Orvil's in front of their picture window. The background is awesome.) Thank you Aunt Mere and Uncle Joe for taking the kids to the birthday party!!!! We love you all.

Fun with Macy & Xavier

Macy and Xavier came over to visit the kids. Josie and Jonas really latched on to Macy and they played really hard. Jonas took Macy all over the house and they even played soccer in the hallway. Josie ended up sitting on the couch with Macy and they just hung out. Then poor Macy was so worn out she dosed off to sleep. Jonas and Josie then found their next victim......Xavier. Xavier let Jonas play his Gameboy and then they played with Jonas' castle and men. Josie joined in too! My kids had so much fun, I let them stay up until 11:00 pm. Macy and Xavier seemed to enjoy themselves too. We can't wait for them to come over again real soon!!!

Happy 30th Birthday Aunt Mere :)

Well, Aunt Mere is 30 now and lookin great! We celebrated her big day by a surprise gathering at Mamo Christy & Papa Vic's house (Mere's parents). Many family members and friends were there to celebrate. Mamo Christy had such tasty food and drinks for everyone. Jonas and Josie stayed with Dandaw, but Sam and I got to see Cousin Sam, Little Victor, Maddie, Abigail, and George. They are all so cute. (Sorry Jonas and Josie that you missed the event, but it was mommy & daddy night out!) We then went to O'Shea's on Bardstown Road and listened to a band. Mere had a lot of fun. The first pic is of me, Mere & Adiana making fresh lemonade from a slice of lemon. Aunt Mere, we love you so much and are glad that we were a part of your special day.....well Sam and me anyway since the kids couldn't make it. The kids give out a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU TOO!

Spending time with Grandma Rose and Pawpaw Orvil

We spent the day with Grandma Rose and Pawpaw Orvil. We usually visit them two or three times a week. And pretty much every time, Grandma Rose has a toy for Jonas and Josie. Today Jonas got a rollie pollie bug playground and Josie got a bubble blowing toy that she just loves and had the best time with. Jonas already has about six rollie pollie bugs in the playground that he watches and cares for. We played outside most of the time with Josie and Jonas taking Grandma Rose all over the yard. They like to look at her garden. Grandpa Orvil likes for the kids to sit in the swing with him. Grandma says that he perks up and seems so motivated when the kids are there. They love being with the kids so much. The kids love them so much too. They also love the food and treats Grandma always has for them. Just like when I was a little girl, you can count on Grandma having good food and treats!
